Join a hands-on cooking workshop at Takkokken, a cooking school and restaurant in Sarrià de Ter, just 10 minutes from Girona's old town. Learn to work with fish, crustaceans, and cephalopods, mastering pre-elaboration and cooking techniques.

Begin by identifying different species and their sexes, then fillet and debone various fish using simple, highly effective techniques. The class covers marinating, preparing a spectacular escabeche, a surprising shrimp preparation, and the famous 'salsa americana' — the most versatile fish sauce, used as a base for soup, béchamel, velouté, and many other preparations.

The session closes with a cod tripe (tripeta de bacalao) dish. Enjoy a tasting meal with wine or water, and take home one of your creations.
