From Tunis: Korbous Trek, Hot Springs, and Sea Caves Tour

Discover the natural beauty of Korbous on a guided trek from Tunis. Visit natural hot springs, explore sea caves, and learn about local plants and their traditional uses in Tunisia.
Begin your adventure in Tunis or Soliman and make your way to Korbous. If you start in Tunis, get help organizing your journey via public transport. Alternatively, meet directly in Soliman and continue together to Korbous. If you rent a car, leave it in a secure parking area and decide together when to return to Tunis and we will have more free time to discover the maximum of hidden natural spots and enjoy the area.

Before heading into the mountains, optionally stop in the old Andalusian-Ottoman quarter of Soliman for a short coffee or tea break in an authentic open-air café. This is a nice opportunity to discover a less-touristic part of the town before continuing your adventure.

Once in Korbous, start a moderate trekking route of approximately 5 km, with several stops along the way to enjoy the scenery, take photographs, and discover the natural environment. The trail passes through mountainous landscapes, beautiful turquoise-water coves, and spectacular coastal viewpoints.

One of the highlights is discovering several natural hot springs rich in sulfur and other minerals. Depending on the route and conditions, visit between 2 and 5 springs. Enjoy a bath in some of them if you wish and experience the naturally warm thermal water coming directly from the mountain.

For those who enjoy adventure and adrenaline, explore two sea caves where different jumping points into the Mediterranean are available. Your guide knows this area very well and will guide you to suitable locations, but jumping and swimming are completely optional. Conditions can change depending on the sea and weather, so the activity will only be done when conditions are appropriate. Swimming in the sea is also optional, but please note that some areas are deep and you must be a confident swimmer if you choose to enter the water.

Along the trail, discover and, where appropriate, pick small amounts of fresh thyme, rosemary, and other aromatic mountain herbs. Your guide will explain how these plants are traditionally used in Tunisia and share local knowledge and stories about the area that you are unlikely to find through a standard Google search.

There is also an optional opportunity to experience a traditional Tunisian therapeutic hammam using naturally heated spring water from the mountain. If the group has enough time, include this experience for approximately 5 TND per person.
