Begin your journey to Lake Mburo National Park, enjoying scenic views of the Ugandan countryside along the way. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge. After a delicious lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive through the park. Spot wildlife like zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and the elusive leopard.
In the evening, take an optional boat ride on Lake Mburo to view wildlife along the shores, including hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Stay overnight at a lodge within or near Lake Mburo National Park.
After breakfast, set out for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey will take you through lush forests and picturesque landscapes. Arrive at your lodge in Bwindi. After checking in, take a short walk around the area to stretch your legs and enjoy the scenery. Relax and prepare for tomorrow’s exciting gorilla trekking adventure.
After breakfast, head to the Bwindi trekking headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. You will be assigned to a group and a guide. Embark on a thrilling trek through the dense, misty rainforest to encounter the endangered mountain gorillas. The trek can take anywhere from 1 to 4 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, visit a Batwa village to learn about their ancient forest culture through storytelling, dance, and guided walks led by the Batwa themselves. Enjoy the serene ambiance of Bwindi, reflecting on your experience with the gorillas.
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route, enjoy the beautiful views of the Rwenzori Mountains and the rolling hills of the park. Arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park and check in at your lodge. Enjoy a hearty lunch.
Take an afternoon game drive in the park, where you can encounter various wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, lions, hippos, and the famous tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. Opt for a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, which offers a fantastic opportunity to view large numbers of hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species.
After breakfast, depart for Kyambura Gorge. This lush gorge is home to a community of chimpanzees. Embark on a guided chimpanzee trek. The gorge provides an ideal setting to see these fascinating primates in their natural habitat, swinging through trees and socializing. Enjoy an hour with the chimpanzees.
Return to the lodge for lunch and check out. Begin your journey back to Entebbe. Arrive in Entebbe in the late evening or early night. Depending on your schedule, you may stop at the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre for a brief tour before heading to the airport.
