Descrizione
Starting in Salt Lake City, we will visit Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and West Yellowstone, seeing famous attractions against a lovely winter background.
DAY 1 Salt Lake City Sighseeing or Natural hot springs experience
The tour begins around 9:00 AM with pickup from Salt Lake City International Airport or a hotel in the Salt Lake City area. Alternate pickup locations can be arranged in advance. Guests arriving before noon may choose one of two half-day experiences for the first day. This consists of either a city highlights tour of Salt Lake City or a relaxing visit to Lava Hot Springs.
The Salt Lake City option includes stops such as Temple Square, Antelope Island, the Utah State Capitol Building, and the Hill Aerospace Museum. Temple Square is one of Utah’s most recognizable historic areas, featuring landmarks like the Salt Lake Temple and Tabernacle. The Utah State Capitol, inspired by the U.S. Capitol, offers impressive architecture and panoramic city views. After sightseeing, you are transferred to your overnight hotel.
Those choosing the Lava Hot Springs option travel directly to the hot springs region. For an additional fee, guests may soak in either a natural open air hot spring with continuously flowing water or a thermal cave with clear, temperature controlled water. Both options offer a relaxing start to the journey.
DAY 2: Idaho Falls - Grand Teton National Park - National Elk Refuge - Jackson Hole - West Yellowstone
The following morning, travel continues to Idaho Falls, home to a scenic man made waterfall that stretches through the center of town and offers excellent photo opportunities. The journey then continues to Grand Teton National Park, where winter brings abundant wildlife such as elk, bison, moose, and deer. A highlight is a sleigh ride through the National Elk Refuge, passing through herds numbering in the thousands.
Next is a stop in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where there is time for lunch and exploring the town’s Western charm and local shops. The route then continues toward West Yellowstone, crossing the Continental Divide before arriving in the gateway town to Yellowstone National Park. Time is available for sightseeing and shopping.
Guests may choose between visiting Big Sky, Montana for winter scenery and stargazing, or a self paid snowmobile excursion in West Yellowstone. Snowmobile tours include equipment, winter gear, fuel, and insurance.
DAY 3 Yellowstone Exploration
The next day features a snow coach journey into Yellowstone National Park to visit Old Faithful. Along the way, stops include Fountain Paint Pots and other geothermal features. Time is spent at Old Faithful Lodge for viewing the eruption or enjoying lunch, followed by optional snowmobiling or snowshoeing. The evening includes return to West Yellowstone for dinner and overnight accommodations.
DAY 4 Yellowstone - Salt Lake City
On the final day, the group travels back toward Salt Lake City with a stop at the famous Lava Hot Springs. Guests are dropped off at the Salt Lake City airport for evening departures or at a hotel for next day flights, with hotel shuttle service available.
