Day 1: Salt Lake City to USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum to Canyonlands to Dead Horse Point
Begin your adventure with pickup from the Salt Lake City Airport or your SLC hotel. Travel toward Price, Utah and visit the USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum, known for its dinosaur skeletons, Ice Age fossils, and Fremont culture artifacts. Ancient pictographs and well preserved exhibits provide an engaging look at Utah’s early natural and human history.

After your museum visit, stop for lunch and continue to Dead Horse Point State Park. From the overlook, enjoy one of the most dramatic views in the Southwest as the Colorado River winds far below the cliffs.

Next, explore the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park. This high mesa sits above a vast system of canyons carved by the Colorado and Green Rivers. Several viewpoints offer wide open panoramas and a clear sense of the region’s rich geologic past. After your time in the park, continue to Moab for dinner and a relaxed evening in this lively desert town surrounded by red rock landscapes.

Day 2: Arches National Park and Moab Adventures
Start your morning with a guided visit to Arches National Park. This world famous area features the highest concentration of natural sandstone arches on the planet. Short walks lead to iconic formations such as Delicate Arch, Double Arch, Balanced Rock, and Landscape Arch. Your guide will introduce you to viewpoints that showcase the park’s unique shapes, colors, and photogenic scenery.

Return to Moab for an afternoon of optional activities at your own expense. Choose from river rafting on the Colorado River, guided horseback rides, 4x4 excursions, additional hiking trails, or scenic riverboat tours. These options highlight Moab’s reputation as a center for outdoor adventure. Enjoy dinner in town before resting for the final day of your tour.

Day 3: Moab to Goblin Valley to Salt Lake City
Begin the day along Potash Road, a scenic route beside the Colorado River and steep cliffs. Along this stretch, your guide will show you ancient petroglyph panels, fossilized dinosaur tracks, and additional arches reachable on short trails. Continue to Goblin Valley State Park, a landscape filled with rounded hoodoos known as goblins. These formations create a fun and unusual terrain that is ideal for exploring and photography.

After your visit, relax on the return trip to Salt Lake City. Your guide will drop you off at your chosen location, concluding a memorable three day journey through Arches National Park, Canyonlands, Moab, and some of Utah’s most iconic red rock destinations.
