Get off the beaten track and discover one of the least-known landscapes in the Colonia Department.

Your experience begins in Colonia del Sacramento, where we will pick you up in comfortable transportation to travel to the countryside of Rosario. During the journey, you can enjoy the landscapes of the interior of Uruguay until you reach a territory marked by nature, history, and rural life.

The experience continues with Sergio Font, a local host born and raised in this area, who will be your tour guide. His knowledge of the area and his own experiences allow you to discover this place from a truly local perspective.

We'll arrive in the area around Arroyo Colla and set off on a hike along trails surrounded by native scrub, indigenous vegetation, and rock formations. The tour will take us to the ruins of the old Artola Mill, a flour mill built in the 1870s.

As you tour the site, Sergio will share with you the history of the old mill, its surroundings, and the stories linked to this corner of the region. The mill was conceived as a hydraulic mill, with canals, a dam, and other structures that are still part of the landscape.

But the mill is only part of the experience. Here, nature takes center stage: the riverside forest, the Arroyo Colla, the rocks, and the rural landscape create a completely different setting from what you'll find in the historic center of Colonia.

You'll also see some of the area's landscapes and points of interest, such as the surroundings of Lago del Pintor, before returning to Rincón Don Aurelio.

This is an experience for those who want to get away from the most visited places, walk, discover history, and get to know Uruguay through the people who live there and really know their land.

At the end, we'll return by transportation to Colonia del Sacramento.
