Day 1: Journey to Machu Picchu through Ancient Inca Paths
Morning Departure from Cusco to Ollantaytambo: Your adventure begins with a picturesque train ride from either Cusco or Ollantaytambo to KM 104, the starting point of your trek. As the train winds through the Sacred Valley, enjoy stunning views of the Andean landscape.
Trek Commencement at KM 104: After disembarking, prepare for a 6-hour hike that introduces you to the richness of the Inca trail. Starting with a visit to the archaeological site of Chachabamba, where ancient stone constructions reveal the ingenuity of Inca architecture.
Hike through Diverse Ecosystems: As the trail ascends, you'll pass through different ecological zones, from cloud forests to subtropical jungles, showcasing a variety of flora and fauna.
Visit Wiñayhuayna and Lunch Break: Midway, explore the spectacular Wiñayhuayna ruins, a cluster of terraces, buildings, and water channels. Here, you'll take a break to enjoy a box lunch, with options for all dietary preferences.
Arrival at Sun Gate: The day's hike culminates at Inti Punku (Sun Gate), where you'll get your first, unforgettable view of Machu Picchu. Witness the citadel from above, bathed in the soft afternoon light.

Day 2: Exploring Machu Picchu and Return to Cusco
Early Morning Visit to Machu Picchu: Wake up early to visit Machu Picchu at dawn, avoiding the larger crowds and experiencing the citadel in the serene morning light. A guided tour provides insights into the historical significance of key areas of the circuit 3, including the Temple of the Sun and the Inka's House.
After the guided tour, return to Aguas Calientes: Descend back to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included ) and some leisure time before your train journey back.
Board your train in the afternoon for your return trip to Ollantaytambo train station, then bus back to Cusco. Your 2-day Inca Trail trek concludes upon arrival in Cusco or Ollantaytambo.

Passport details are required to complete the booking. After confirmation, we will send a payment link, which must be completed within 4 hours to secure your spot. Once confirmed, no date changes or refunds are allowed.
Train tickets are not included and must be purchased separately. We will provide guidance on available train options from Ollantaytambo to help you choose the best schedule. Train changes or refunds are subject to the train company’s policies and may incur additional fees.
