Founded in 2017 by three mates with a genuine passion for stand-up, Good Chat has spent close to a decade bringing the best comedy talent in Australia to an intimate, buzzing room in the heart of Brisbane. This isn't a restaurant with a microphone in the corner. This is a proper comedy club - dark, energetic, and purpose-built for big laughs.
Wednesday Night Comedy (7:00pm – 9:00pm)
Good Chat's flagship schoolnight showcase - the one that started it all. Every Wednesday features a rotating host, a mix of Brisbane favourites, interstate headliners, and the occasional surprise guest you absolutely won't see coming. It's the perfect mid-week reset: low-key, high-laugh, and exactly what a Wednesday deserves. Grab a schooner, settle in, and let the week's stress evaporate.
Friday Night Comedy (7:00pm – 9:00pm)
Friday Night at Good Chat is the kind of show that turns a good weekend into a great one. Headlined by some of Australia's most in-demand touring acts - past performers have included Luke Heggie, David Rose, Nick Capper, and Neel Kolhatkar - the Friday show brings a full headline-quality lineup to an intimate room. It's the best pre-dinner, post-dinner, or instead-of-dinner plan in Brisbane.
Saturday Night Stand-Up (7:00pm – 9:00pm)
Saturday nights at Good Chat are the main event. Bigger names, bigger energy, and a room that's ready for a great night out. We’re tucked away inside Caxton Street Brewing Company, the pub on the corner of Caxton St and Petrie Tce (formerly Fritzenberger, formerly Casablanca before that).
We share the same address on Google Maps, but do not have as-visible signage. On nights that events are on, our club’s logo is projected onto the footpath outside the Caxton St entrance, and the lightbox above the entry to the club is illuminated. If in doubt, give us a call!
