Choose the time of day that suits you. Morning and mid morning departures (8:00am or 10:30am) offer calm water with herons, cormorants and other waterbirds commonly spotted along the way. Or pick the sunset departure, timed seasonally so you're always on the water at golden hour — winding through the canals as the sky shifts to shades of gold and pink over the hinterland.
Meet your guide at Budds Beach, right in the centre of Surfers Paradise. You'll be on the water within minutes — no experience needed. The Nerang River is calm and sheltered, making this tour genuinely suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
As you paddle out, the Surfers Paradise skyline rises on one side while luxury waterfront homes line the banks on the other. Your guide will share stories about the area as you make your way toward Macintosh Island.

This tour runs at different times depending on the option selected. Daytime departures are 8:00am and 10:30am. Non-swimmers are welcome — life jackets are worn at all times on the water. You do not need to be a confident swimmer.
Ages 6+ — guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All guests must sign a waiver; under-18s require a parent or guardian signature.
Sunset quality varies with weather. Spectacular colours are common but cannot be guaranteed. The tour runs in light rain; it will be rescheduled in the event of severe weather.
