You can start your mountain experience flexibly. The cave tours have fixed times – you'll get information about this at the cave ticket office on the day itself (section 2).
It's best to plan your start so that you have enough time to enjoy the mountain and both caves.
The valley station of the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car in Obertraun is the starting and ending point for your activity. You'll need to start and complete the cable car ride on your own. The valley station is easy to find and well signposted.

  • Ascend and descend with the cable car – sections 1, 2, 3 – as often as you like in one day, one admission & tour each in the Ice AND Mammoth Caves.
CENA NIE ZAWIERA
  • Personal gear like hiking boots or trekking poles, meals at the mountain restaurants, guided tours, and the transfer to the valley station aren't included.
  • All other activities outside the cable cars are also to be paid separately.
