DAY 1 – OVERNIGHT JOURNEY FROM LA PAZ TO UYUNI
Start your trip in La Paz with check-in at the bus office at approximately 9:00 p.m. At 9:30 p.m., depart for Uyuni aboard an overnight bus. Settle into a spacious seat reclining up to 165°, with heating, a travel blanket, onboard restroom, and seat belt provided for a comfortable journey.
Please have 2.50 BOB in cash per person ready to cover the mandatory bus terminal fee before departure.
DAY 2 – SALT FLATS, CACTI & GOLDEN SUNSET
Arrive in Uyuni at approximately 7:30 a.m., where our team will welcome you at the bus office. You will then be accompanied to a nearby café to relax and enjoy some free time. Later, head back to our office for check-in, meet your driver and guide, and receive a short briefing before beginning the day's adventure.
Departure at 10:30 AM.
Train Cemetery: – Discover a collection of historic locomotives and learn about Uyuni's fascinating railway heritage.
Colchani: – Explore this local community, discover traditional salt-processing techniques, and browse handicrafts made from salt, alpaca wool, and llama wool.
Uyuni Salt Flats: – Journey across the vast white salt landscape and visit the Saltwater Eyes, Playa Blanca, Salt Hotel Museum, Flags of the World, and the famous Dakar Monument.
Incahuasi Island: – Explore trails surrounded by giant cacti and ancient coral formations while enjoying panoramic views across the Salar.
Perspective Photography: – Use the seemingly endless salt-flat horizon to create playful perspective shots and memorable optical-illusion photos.
Sunset Stop: – Experience the changing evening colors across the Salar while enjoying wine and chips. After sunset, travel back to our office in Uyuni.
Arrival in Uyuni: – Arrive back at our Uyuni office at approximately 7:30 p.m., where your 2-day adventure comes to an end.
