Learn French every morning in a Provençal villa steps from the sea, then spend four afternoons cooking, tasting Riviera wines and discovering Antibes with your class.
Le Château, the school's villa in Antibes, stands a few minutes from the old town and the Mediterranean. Every weekday morning from 9:00 to 12:20 you take four 45-minute French lessons, twenty over the week, in a class of no more than twelve students and at your own level, from complete beginner to C2.
Teaching follows the active method the Centre International d'Antibes has refined since 1985: speaking first, then listening, writing, grammar and pronunciation. You complete an online placement test before you arrive, so you start in the right group on the first morning. The school holds the Qualité FLE label and EAQUALS membership, and its twenty teachers include ten official DELF examiners.
Four afternoons a week, the French you practised in the morning goes straight into use. A typical week combines a hands-on cooking workshop in a professional kitchen, a tasting of Côtes de Provence wines, a walk through the Provençal market of Antibes with a teacher, and a guided outing along the coast. The programme changes from week to week with the season and with what the market offers, and everything is done in French, at a pace suited to your level.
Your classmates come from more than eighty countries, which makes French the common language from the first coffee break onwards. The week ends with a certificate of attendance.
Accommodation is not included: you stay where you like and come to the villa each morning.

Courses start on Mondays all year round. Complete beginners start on set dates, so please contact us before booking if you have never studied French.
Minimum age 18.
You will receive an online placement test to complete before you arrive, so that you join the right class on the first morning.
On the first day, please arrive at 8:45 for registration.
Lessons run Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 12:20. The four activities take place in the afternoon, on days that vary from week to week.
The programme of activities changes with the season and with what the market offers.
The school is closed on French public holidays, you will receive a refund for the days missed.
Accommodation is not included. Tell us if you would like the school to suggest options nearby.
Ecole Le Château, 28 avenue du Château. Look for the villa with the school sign at the gate, a short walk from Antibes town centre and the old town. Go to the reception desk when you arrive. On your first Monday, please be there at 8:45 for registration and the start of class at 9:00.
