Tbilisi: 3-Day Guided Tour of Georgia’s Highlights

Discover the highlights of Georgia on a 3-day guided tour from Tbilisi. Visit Borjomi Park, Rabati Castle, Vardzia Cave City, Gori, Uplistsikhe, Mtskheta, and the Kakheti wine region.
Day 1: Borjomi – Rabati – Vardzia

Depart from Tbilisi in the morning and head to Borjomi Park, a famous mineral water park. Enjoy a relaxing nature walk before continuing to Rabati Castle in Akhaltsikhe, a medieval fortress with stunning views.

Next, drive to Vardzia Cave City, a unique rock-cut monastery complex. Explore the caves, churches, and historical halls before spending the night in Akhaltsikhe or the nearby area.

Day 2: Gori – Uplistsikhe – Mtskheta

After breakfast, depart for Gori, where you'll make a photo stop near the Stalin Museum. Then, explore Uplistsikhe Cave Town, an ancient rock-hewn city.

Continue to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia. Visit Jvari Monastery for a panoramic view over the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers, and explore Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to Tbilisi for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Kakheti Wine Region

Depart for Kakheti, the heart of Georgian wine culture. Visit Sighnaghi, the City of Love, and walk along the old walls. Then, visit Bodbe Monastery, the resting place of St. Nino.

Enjoy a wine tasting at a local winery, sampling traditional Qvevri wine. Spend some free time for lunch and photos in the vineyards before returning to Tbilisi in the evening.
