Begin with a photo stop at Zhinvali Reservoir, surrounded by striking mountain scenery. Continue to Ananuri Fortress, one of the most recognizable historic landmarks on the route. Explore its ancient walls, towers, and churches while enjoying views over the reservoir and the surrounding valleys.

Continue through Pasanauri toward Gudauri, stopping at Gudauri Panorama for spectacular views across the Greater Caucasus. Take time for photographs and enjoy the mountain atmosphere before continuing toward Stepantsminda and the Kazbegi region.

From Kazbegi, the journey becomes more adventurous.
