Tour of La Magdalena and El Sardinero

Discover Santander by touring La Magdalena and El Sardinero, among palaces, gardens, and views of the Cantabrian Sea. A must-do experience!
We will meet at the agreed time at the Casa de los Guardeses, located on the La Magdalena peninsula. From there, our tour will begin to discover some of the most special corners of Santander.

The first stop will be the imposing Palacio de La Magdalena, built at the beginning of the 20th century. We'll walk around the grounds while admiring its distinguished architecture and the spectacular sea views that surround it.

Then we'll continue touring the peninsula to see iconic places such as the Royal Stables and the Marine Park, located on a cliff and home to seals, penguins, and sea lions. We'll also visit the open-air exhibition El Hombre y el Mar, where we'll learn about the incredible ocean crossings made by Vital Alsar.

Later, we'll head to El Sardinero, a historic tourist destination and seaside resort that emerged in the 19th century. There, among golden sand beaches and the sound of the Cantabrian Sea, we can admire iconic buildings such as the Gran Casino and the Gran Hotel Sardinero, true examples of the Belle Époque.

The last part of the tour will take us to the Jardines de Piquío, a magnificent natural viewpoint from which we can enjoy privileged views of the coast and understand the peculiar division between the first and second beaches.

After approximately two hours, we will conclude this guided tour of Santander in the vicinity of the gardens.
