From Dénia or Jávea, travel into the Marina Alta to visit Fontilles Sanatorium, one of the area’s most striking architectural and historical sites. Step inside its walls on a guided walk and learn about its story—past and present—from local experts.
Continue into Vall de Laguar, formed by three villages—Campell, Fleix, and Benimaurell—known locally as the lower, middle, and upper village. Enjoy a relaxed stroll through quiet streets and small squares, with mountain scenery, stone steps, washhouses, and fountains along the way. You’ll also pause for a breakfast or light-snack break (not included), ideal for recharging before the next gentle hike.
A scenic path leads through terraced landscapes of cherry, almond, and olive trees toward Benimaurell, offering a close-up look at the valley’s rural character.
