Begin your tour with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Yogyakarta. If you choose a morning tour, head first to Borobudur Temple, the world's largest Buddhist temple. If you choose an afternoon tour, visit the palm sugar factory first, followed by the batik factory, and then Borobudur Temple.

After visiting the temple, head to a local village to see how palm sugar is produced from coconut blossom sap. Learn about the traditional process, which uses only firewood and natural ingredients without preservatives, ensuring a healthy product.

Next, visit a batik production house, recognized by UNESCO as an authentic cultural heritage of Yogyakarta. Watch local residents draw, design, and color batik using a very ancient and relatively long process.

During this visit, you'll also have the opportunity to learn or simply try making batik with your favorite motifs, using natural ink from pine tree sap and traditional kapok wood. A teacher will guide you through the process. Once you're finished, you can take your creation home.
