Day 1: Chinggis Khan Monument, National Park Gorkhi Terelj
Drive to the 40-meter-high Chinggis Khan Monument, about 70 km from Ulaanbaatar. Enjoy the view from the horsehead that Chinggis Khan is riding. Visit the museum in the basement and try on traditional clothes or warrior arms for a photo shoot.
Hike or horseback ride along the Tuul River. Visit a nomadic family and have lunch. Take a short drive to the national park Gorkhi Terelj, called the Mongolian Swiss, and check in to a ger camp. Hike to the Turtle Rock and to the Temple Aryaval on the mountain. It has 108 holy steps and holy teachings.
Stay overnight in a Mongolian ger camp and enjoy a traditional dinner.
Day 2: Back to Ulaanbaatar
Drive back to Ulaanbaatar.
