Embark on a 5-day trek to Pikey Peak from Kathmandu. Enjoy views of Mount Everest, trek through rhododendron forests and Sherpa villages, and witness a sunrise over the Himalayas.
Day 1: Drive to Dhap Bazaar (2,850 m)
Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazaar for approximately 7–8 hours by shared jeep. The scenic journey passes through green hills, terraced fields, riverside settlements, and rural communities before reaching Dhap. Overnight at a mountain guest house.
Day 2: Trek to Jhapre (2,815 m)
Enjoy a scenic 2–3 hour trek of approximately 13 km along forested ridges and Sherpa settlements. The trail provides beautiful views of Numbur Himal and glimpses of Everest before reaching the charming village of Jhapre. Overnight at a mountain guest house.
Day 3: Trek to Pikey Base Camp (3,640 m)
Continue for around 6–7 hours, covering approximately 15 km through rhododendron forests and open alpine pastures. As you climb toward Pikey Base Camp, the views become increasingly expansive and the landscape more rugged. Overnight at a mountain guest house.
Day 4: Hike to Pikey Peak & Trek to Phaplu (4,065 m)
Start early for the summit of Pikey Peak at 4,065 meters and witness a spectacular Himalayan sunrise. After enjoying panoramic views of Everest and surrounding peaks, descend through forests and traditional villages toward Phaplu. The trek takes approximately 9–10 hours and covers around 15 km. Overnight at a mountain guest house.
Day 5: Drive Back to Kathmandu (1,350 m)
Drive from Phaplu to Kathmandu for approximately 8–9 hours. Enjoy the final views of Nepal’s rural landscapes, terraced hills, rivers, and villages before arriving in Kathmandu and concluding your Pikey Peak adventure.
