Arequipa: 2-day hike with a visit to the Huaruro and Llahuar waterfalls

Discover the Colca Canyon on an incredible two-day adventure, with a visit to the Huaruro Waterfall, the Llahuar Valley and its hot springs, and other attractions such as the Condor Cross.
Day 1. We'll pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa between 3:00 and 3:30 in the morning in a tourist vehicle. We'll head to the town of Cabanaconde, stopping in the town of Chivay for breakfast. Then, we'll continue to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint, where we'll stop for 30 minutes to enjoy the beautiful view and the fascinating flight of the Condor. We'll arrive in Cabanaconde at 9:00 in the morning.
In Cabanaconde, our local guide will be waiting for us with a 4x4 van to continue to the town of Belén. On the way, we'll stop at the Paclla geyser to take some photos and then continue until we reach the town of Belén. We'll arrive in Belén at 10:30 a.m. From there, we'll walk to the Huaruro waterfall for 3 hours, passing through a small town called Fure on the way. We'll arrive at the Huaruro waterfall at 1:30 in the afternoon. Here, we'll enjoy an hour of the beautiful view that this fascinating place offers and our snack (lunch). At 2:30 in the afternoon, we'll head out on a 3-hour walk to the town of Belén, then continue in the 4x4 truck for 20 more minutes until we reach the Llahuar valley. Here in Llahuar, we'll enjoy its hot springs, dinner, and then spend the night.
Day 2 - At 6:00 a.m., we'll leave Llahuar, starting with a 10-minute walk to the point where the 4x4 van is waiting for us. From there, we'll head to the town of Cabanaconde in the 4x4 for about an hour and a half. We should arrive in Cabanaconde at approximately 7:40 a.m. Breakfast will be waiting for us there, and we'll have it for an hour. After breakfast, we'll head back to Arequipa in our tourist vehicle. We'll make different stops along the way:
1. Stop at the Antahuilque viewpoint to see pre-Inca terraces.
2. We'll also stop at the Chacapi hot springs for an hour.
3. We'll also stop in the village of Chivay for lunch.
4. We'll also stop at the volcanoes viewpoint, the highest point of the route, from where you can see the volcanic chain of southern Peru.
5. As a last stop, we'll stop in Tocrapampa to see South American camelids, such as llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas.
And so we'll continue until we reach the city of Arequipa. The tour ends two blocks from the square, at 5:30 in the afternoon. That's how this fascinating two-day adventure in the Colca Canyon ends.
