Embark on a 4-day Amazon adventure from Iquitos. Explore the jungle, spot wildlife, and learn about the local culture. Swim with pink dolphins, fish for piranhas, and visit a native community.

DAY 1:
08:00 AM: Drive to Nauta to board a boat that will take you directly to the lodge.
1. In a typical canoe made of wood, head out on the river around the “lakes” to familiarize yourself with the nearby jungle area before your first lunch in the jungle.
2. After lunch, head out by boat in search of monkeys, macaws, toucans, and sloths and other wild animals that you can observe during the tour.
3. At sunset, leave by canoe for caiman (alligator) night spotting.
4. Enjoy dinner.

DAY 2:
After breakfast, leave for a trekking journey through the jungle. Learn how natives use and read the jungle, medicinal plants, and how to communicate with the help of trees.
2. Learn about the medicinal plants locals use to cure illnesses, as well as traditional aphrodisiac drinks that are made from the bark and roots of trees.
3. Forage for wild food, and collect some typical foods from the jungle, such as chonta and mushrooms, which you will eat for lunch.
4. After lunch, head back out onto the Amazon river to swim with the river dolphins.
5. Make a brief stop on the banks of a tributary river for a mud treatment at the local “spa”. Roll in the mud and let your skin absorb the all the nutrients and minerals.
6. Venture out with your flashlights and walk through the jungle at night in search of anacondas, tarantulas, scorpions, snakes, and giant frogs.
7. Enjoy dinner.

DAY 3:
Enjoy an early canoe trip to enjoy the sunrise before breakfast. Macaws, toucans, shansho, the harpy eagle, and camungo are just some of the birds you are likely to see.
1. Get ready to fish for the infamous piranha in the dark tributaries of the Amazon.
2. After lunch, enjoy a canoe ride to visit a lake to see the famous Victoria Regia.
3. Dinner will be prepared at a fireplace in a wood and charcoal stove above the river bank where you enjoy a BBQ meal.

DAY 4:
Before breakfast, visit the monkey island and interact with them by feeding them with fruits that you will bring for them.
1. Visit a native community, see how homes are constructed, check out the schools and churches, and observe local customs and traditions to get a better understanding of the lifestyle.
2. Meet Pablito, the baby sloth, so you can carry him and play with him.
3. Enjoy lunch before heading back to Iquitos.
