Do you feel like escaping the hustle and bustle of the city? Enjoy a complete experience in the Amazon while discovering its animal species and spending the night in a comfortable house in the jungle.
Day 1
We will depart from Iquitos at 9:00 am and head towards the Amazon, the most popular river in the world due to its great length and flow. We will get on a boat to tour this lung of the American continent that has a dense tropical forest, the largest on the planet. What trees grow in the Amazon? What animals inhabit this paradise? We'll find out!
We will admire a curious phenomenon of nature when we reach the Nanay River, since the color of its waters changes with respect to the Amazon. If we are lucky, we will be able to see some of the pink dolphins that inhabit the jungle.
Our animal adventure will continue in the lizard farm, where we will also see lizards. On this tour we will discover all the details about this fish, which can reach 3 meters in length. Did you imagine that such a large fish roamed the rivers of Peru?
Around 1:30 p.m., we will move to the shore of the Amazon River, where the two-story house made with materials from the jungle where we will stay is located. Once there, we will rest and regain strength by eating a complete menu.
We will get going again when it hits 3:00 p.m. We will visit the Yagua natives, a town with an economy based on agriculture, fishing and hunting. What mythology does the Yagua population have? What are their rituals? Is it an isolated town? Our guide will answer these and other questions.
We will return to the cabin complex at 5:00 p.m. to rest again and have dinner. We will undertake a walk at night to listen carefully to the songs emitted by birds and insects. We will learn what sound corresponds to each animal.
After the walk, we will retire to spend a night in the heart of the Amazon jungle.
Day 2
We will leave the house first thing in the morning to enjoy the sunrise in the Amazon (around 5:00 a.m.). We will contemplate how the colors begin to filter into the dense jungle as the sun rises. A memory that will be difficult to forget!
We will take advantage of the morning observing the birds of all colors that inhabit the Peruvian jungle. This opportunity will allow us to see unique species on the planet, such as the impressive scarlet macaw.
Before continuing, we will regain our strength with a delicious breakfast. Later, we will go to the serpentarium, a kind of reserve for animals that have been rescued. Despite its name, sloths, ocelots, turtles and parrots also live there. In this area, we will refresh ourselves with some delicious drinks made with medicinal plants and tree bark.
We will return to the house at 12:30 to rest before eating. At 2:30 p.m. we will board a boat again that will take us back to Iquitos, where we will return around 4:30 p.m.
