Iquitos: 4-Day Amazon Camp Jungle Tour

Explore the Amazon rainforest from Iquitos on a 4-day, 3-night adventure at Amazon Camp Lodge. Travel by boat along Amazonian rivers, explore the rainforest, visit local communities and enjoy guided activities surrounded by nature.

DAY 1: IQUITOS – AMAZON CAMP LODGE

Transfer from Iquitos to the embarkation point, crossing the Nanay Bridge. Travel by boat along the Nanay River toward the Amazon River and see the meeting point of the dark Nanay waters with the brown Amazon waters. Continue along the Momón River to an artisanal sugarcane workshop before arriving at Amazon Camp Lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, take a guided rainforest walk to learn about native plants, medicinal species and trees. Visit a Bora community to learn about local traditions, dances and way of life. Return to the lodge for free time and relaxation. After dinner, join a guided nighttime jungle walk to observe nocturnal insects, frogs and other rainforest species. Overnight at the lodge.

DAY 2: AMAZON CAMP LODGE

Start with an optional early-morning boat excursion to observe the sunrise, birds and river dolphins. After breakfast, explore the Momón, Nanay, Amazon and Itaya rivers. Visit the viewpoint in the community of Independencia for views of the Amazon River and its surrounding waterways.

Continue with a rainforest walk to see a large lupuna tree and visit the Seven-Colored Waterfall. Return to the lodge for lunch and free time. In the evening, enjoy dinner and relax at the lodge.

DAY 3: AMAZON CAMP LODGE

After breakfast, take a boat excursion to an Amazonian butterfly house and learn about the butterfly life cycle. Continue to an artisanal aquarium along the Momón River to observe Amazonian fish.

Travel to Padrecocha to visit a Cocama community, learn about local traditions and participate in cultural activities. After lunch, enjoy canoeing with the possibility of swimming in the river under guide supervision.

The Puente Colgante and Zipline are available as an optional activity.

DAY 4: AMAZON CAMP LODGE – IQUITOS

After breakfast, travel by boat to the rural community of San Antonio. Take a guided walk through primary rainforest to learn about medicinal, ornamental and timber plants, orchids, bromeliads and large trees, with opportunities for bird observation.

Have lunch in San Antonio before returning to Amazon Camp Lodge. Continue to the main port and transfer to your hotel or the airport in Iquitos, where the tour ends.

Includes 3 nights at Amazon Camp Lodge, meals according to the itinerary, river transportation, guided excursions and assistance during activities.
