Excursion to the islands of Uros and Taquile

Enter the waters of Lake Titicaca and discover local traditions by visiting the floating archipelago of the Uros and the island of Taquile. A need!
We will pick you up at the agreed place in Puno between 7:00 and 7:20 am and we will go to the port. We will embark on the shores of Lake Titicaca in a speedboat and sail the waters of the highest navigable lake in the world.

We will arrive at our first stop: the famous floating islands of the Uros. We will disembark on one of the main islands to meet the locals, descendants of the ancestral pre-Inca people of the Uros. Here we will discover everything about one of the first cultures of the Andean highlands, while we admire this impressive artificial archipelago. Did you know that it is built with an aquatic plant called totora?

We will get back on the boat and head towards Taquile Island, the largest on Lake Titicaca. We will delve into the local culture exploring the artisanal garments made with high weaving techniques that make the locals famous.

Afterwards, we will make a stop to regain strength with a succulent traditional lunch. What a treat! With our appetite satisfied, it will be time to say goodbye to the island.

We will end the tour by dropping you off in Puno eight hours after pickup.
