As you descend into the valley, you enter a magical world belonging to the Laurissilva Forest, a natural sanctuary full of ancient vegetation, centuries-old laurel trees, and biodiversity that is unique on the planet. You'll walk along the island's traditional irrigation channels, the famous levadas, which will guide your steps through breathtaking landscapes.
The route first takes you to see the spectacular Cascata do Risco, whose waters fall from a dizzying height.
Then, continue towards the area's signature landmark: the 25 Fontes lagoon.
The name comes to life with dozens of small springs that gush from the verdant rock, feeding the clear lagoon below.
You will have time to soak up the energy of this idyllic setting, take incredible photographs, and listen to the pure sounds of nature before starting your return to the meeting point.
