Our Chef-Led Gastronomic Tour of the Bolhao Market combines with a hands on Portuguese Tapas Class. You'll make Tapiscos & enjoy Douro wine, taking home new skills to delight friends & family.
Get ready for a culinary experience, demonstration and class focused on Portuguese tapas where you will learn to whip up amazing Tapiscos.
First, a Chef led gastronomic tour of the world-famous Mercado de Bolhao, sourcing the freshest ingredients.
Then, we'll walk back to the kitchen at Boutique Maison Canto De Luz, where you will enjoy a Barista coffee and a fresh nata pastry before getting down to business.
Get ready for an interactive session. After observing the chef's techniques, you'll have the chance to create the dishes yourself.
Finally, enjoy eating the fruits of your labours with a crisp glass of Douro Valley wine whilst swapping stories with your classmates. (Additional wine available for purchase)
As a parting gift, each participant will receive a goodie bag filled with recipes and a travel-friendly bottle of Aguardente, perfect for flame-grilling chorizo at home.

Please dress appropriately for the market tour and dont wear open toed shoes for hygiene in the kitchen.
We will lend you an apron to protect your clothes for the work in the kitchen.
The walk from the market to the Kitchen takes about 10 minutes - you may want to bring an umbrella if it looks like rain!
Please arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time of your class at the agreed meeting point.
