2 Day Rwanda Gorilla and Golden monkey trekking tour

This 2-day tour is one of the most wildlife activities on the earth. You will Observe gorilla and golden monkey behaviors, nature of the park, the culture and traditional about local community.
Day 1: Gorilla Trekking and Visit Gorilla Guardian Village

Early morning at 4:30am your driver guide will pick you up and transferred to Volcanoes national park the home of gorillas and golden monkey. journey takes 2.5 hours to the park office; you will pass through beautiful landscape of Rwanda where you will discover why Rwanda Referred as "The land of Thousand Hills".

at 7:00 am we will be at park office for briefing. This briefing is organized by park guides, thereafter, proceed to the starting point to trek. it takes between 2 to 6 hours. After locating your gorilla family, you only have one hour to observe them. Listen to instructions from your Guide and stay calm even when the silverback attempts to show power. Never make sudden and unnecessary movements in order to avoid alerting the gorillas.

After observing the primates for one hour, you will return back to the starting point where your guide will be waiting to take you back to your hotel for lunch

After lunch, shower and rest as you wait for the Driver to take you to the Gorilla Guardians Village. The Village was formally known as the Iby’iwacu cultural village. It started as a place where former poachers would sell souvenir to tourist but has now been rebuilt as a leading cultural center in the country. You will spend time being entertained by cultural performers with traditional dance and music, also experience traditional wedding, local people lifestyle and learn more about Rwandan culture and historical background. Thereafter Transferred to the hotel for overnight stay

Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking and Return Back to Kigali

Early morning After your breakfast at 6:15am, you will set off for volcanoes national park offices for another briefing on golden monkey tracking. You will have an opportunity hire a porter to help out with any heavy luggage during the briefing or at the starting point. Later start trek, you will find them feeding on top of tree branches and on the ground.

They are critically endangered and face great threats from human activities. Golden monkeys are very playful and cute. They live in groups consisting of about 80 individuals. They are comfortable with flash cameras unlike gorillas. After spending time with them, you will go back to the starting point and find your driver waiting for you. Later have lunch and return back to Kigali for flight/hotel.
