our first stop is Polgolla, a quiet and peaceful viewpoint with beautiful views of the Mahaweli River and the surrounding nature.

Next, we will visit the colorful Sri Muthumariamman Kovil in Matale. This famous Hindu temple is known for its tall, decorated tower and is dedicated to Goddess Mariamman, who is believed to bring rain, protection, and good fortune. It’s a wonderful place to experience Sri Lanka’s cultural diversity.

We will then continue to Nalanda Gedige, an ancient stone temple built between the 8th and 10th centuries. This unique site, designed in South Indian Dravidian style, is also known as the geographical center of Sri Lanka.

Next we will vist to the Dambulla Cave Temple

The Dambulla Cave Temple is Sri Lanka's largest, best-preserved rock cave temple complex, a UNESCO site featuring five caves filled with Buddhist statues (over 150) and intricate murals covering walls and ceilings, depicting Buddha's life, gods, and kings, with the art primarily from the 18th-century Kandyan period, showcasing centuries of religious devotion and artistry.

After that, visit the world-famous Sigiriya Lion Rock. Climb this ancient rock fortress to see royal palace ruins, beautiful fresco paintings, water gardens, and advanced engineering systems created over 1,500 years ago.

Then we enjoy a tasty Sri Lankan lunch at a local restaurant during your journey.

Our final adventure is a thrilling Minneriya National Park Jeep Safari. Travel deep into the park to see large herds of elephants gathering around the Minneriya Tank. We may also spot deer, crocodiles, monkeys, peacocks, and many other birds. Minneriya is one of the best places in Sri Lanka to watch elephants in their natural habitat.(optional Minor Activity)
