Explore one of Florida’s most beautiful spring-fed waterways on a self-guided electric GoBoat ride on the Silver River. After a quick on-site safety briefing, step aboard your eco-friendly boat and set off at your own pace—no tour group, no engine noise, just calm cruising over crystal-clear water where you can often see aquatic plants and wildlife beneath the surface.
From the moment you push off, keep your eyes on the riverbanks and the waterline. Silver Springs is known for abundant nature: fish, turtles, and birds are common sightings, and you may even spot the area’s famous rhesus monkeys along the shoreline. Visiting in winter? Manatees sometimes move through the area seasonally, so staying alert can pay off.
Your trip begins and ends at Ray Wayside Park, open seven days a week with multiple start times for easy planning. Choose a 2- or 4-hour rental depending on how long you’d like to be on the water, then cruise through the Silver Springs headwaters area and enjoy a low-impact way to experience the river’s scenery.
Please note that the current can be strong in places. Upstream speed is limited to about 1.5 mph, so plan your turnaround point and timing to ensure a smooth return to the launch.
