Embark on a unique 2-day adventure through the Salar de Uyuni, where the magic of the Bolivian altiplano will surprise you at every step.
DAY 1: We begin our tour with a visit to the Train Cemetery, a historic 19th century site, where the remains of old locomotives can be seen, located a few kilometers from Uyuni. This place is known as the largest train cemetery in the world. Then, we will head to Colchani, a picturesque village famous for its production of salt products, where you can buy local handicrafts. We will continue to the majestic Salar de Uyuni, which extends over 10,000 km², and where you can admire small salt piles in the form of pyramids. Afterwards, we will arrive at Incahuasi Island, an impressive spot to enjoy panoramic views and contemplate giant cacti in its unique landscape, hiking for approximately 30 minutes. Next, we will head to the Dakar Monument, an ideal place to capture memorable photos and enjoy a local lunch. In the afternoon, we will return to the Salar de Uyuni to enjoy the famous water mirrors, where the sky and earth merge in a spectacular reflection at sunset.
DAY 2: The day begins around 9:30 am, with a new expedition through the Salar de Uyuni. We will visit three beautiful lagoons: Cañapa, Hedionda and Chulluncani, known for their colorful waters and incredible biodiversity, as they are home to numerous flamingos. These lagoons, part of the Lagunas del Altiplano, offer amazing landscapes. The tour will conclude in the city of Uyuni around 6:00 pm.
