Join a spectacular day out in the snow on a winter adventure one-day tour to the 2010 Winter Olympics Resort town of Whistler. Follow the Olympic Vision of 2010, and enjoy a guided tour of Whistler, then get active in the Whistler Olympic Park.
Meet your guide at Canada Place in Vancouver and travel in a minibus or van. After crossing the monumental Lions Gate Bridge, the route follows the Pacific ocean along the Howe Sound fjord and then climbs up 700 m to Whistler.
Spend 3 hours in Whistler, exploring the bustling winter resort town. Whistler is mostly free of cars and allows you to freely roam around. Your guide gives you an introduction and recommendations, then you are free to explore this bustling resort town. You can easily find great lunch places, visit the Olympic Plaza, learn about Whistlers Olympic legacy in the Whistler Museum or visit the Squamish and Lil’wat cultural center and learn about the First Nations who have called these lands home since time immemorial. You can also book a ticket to get up the mountain and experience the Peak2Peak Gondola.
After the visit of Whistler, the tour continues to the original 2010 Winter Olympics Park. Get active in the snow. Spend 2.5 hours in this winter wonderland. Well-maintained trails through beautiful forests invite you to create memories. Choose between snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or simply sightseeing.
At the end of the day the group warms up in the lodge, where hot chocolate, stews, sandwiches, poutine and burgers are offered for purchase. Relax at the fireplace and watch the scene.

You will spend time in the snow. Dress according to the weather forecast for Whistler, BC. A warm jacket, gloves and toque are required.
Waterproof shoes are required for Snowshoeing. Overboots for added waterproofing are available for a small fee.
Watch out for our Way Out West tour guide arriving in a white minibus or van, about 5 minutes before the scheduled departure. The tour guide will meet you near the Welcome Center by the tour group waiting area (covered benches).
