If traveling from Québec City or Charlevoix, we recommend choosing the Baie-Ste-Catherine departure instead of Tadoussac, as the experience is identical—the boat picks up passengers from both locations.
Boats depart on time, so please arrive early. Boarding starts about 30 minutes before departure. Cruises operate rain or shine unless weather conditions pose a safety risk. The boat features an enclosed area for your comfort.
We recommend that you dress warmly even in summer, as the temperature on the water can get cooler than on land.
Transportation to the bear observation tour is not included—you must make your own way to Ferme 5 Étoiles from the whale watching tour.
The visit of Ferme 5 Étoiles' wildlife sanctuary is free during the day of your bear observation reservation.
At the meeting point, we will provide you with waterproof clothing and have you sign a release form for the activity.
Since parking is not available directly at the meeting point, we recommend using the paid parking lot just up the road. From there, it’s just a short walk to the meeting point.
Note that you will have to take the Tadoussac ferry to get to Ferme 5 Étoiles for the bear observation tour. Once you get there, free parking is available directly onsite.
