Day 1: Addis Ababa to Awash National Park
• Morning:
• Depart from Addis Ababa early in the morning (around 7:00 AM) for a 3-4 hour drive to Awash National Park.
• Enjoy scenic views of the Ethiopian Rift Valley on your way.
• Afternoon:
• Arrive at Awash National Park by midday. After check-in at your lodge or campsite, enjoy lunch.
• In the afternoon, embark on a game drive. You may spot wildlife like baboons, gazelles, kudu, warthogs, and if you're lucky, lions and leopards.
• Evening:
• Return to the lodge for dinner.
• Overnight at a Hotel .
Day 2: Full Day Safari in Awash National Park
• Morning:
• After breakfast, head out for a morning game drive. Awash is known for its rich wildlife and scenic landscapes, including the beautiful Awash River and waterfalls.
• Visit the scenic Awash Falls, one of the park’s highlights, for some sightseeing and photography.
• Afternoon:
• Have lunch at the lodge or a picnic spot in the park.
• In the afternoon, continue with more wildlife exploration, perhaps focusing on birdwatching or a guided nature walk.
• Evening:
• Head back to the lodge for dinner. and overnight
• Optional: Enjoy a relaxing evening at your lodge, perhaps taking in the view or having a drink by the campfire.
Day 3: Awash to Addis Ababa
• Morning:
• After breakfast, embark on one last short game drive or visit a nearby cultural site such as the nearby Afar villages, if of interest.
• Check out from your accommodation and begin the drive back to Addis Ababa.
• Afternoon:
• Arrive back in Addis Ababa by mid or late afternoon.
• You can either go directly to your hotel or ready for your departure.
