Explore Lapland nature in summer from a different perspective! Canoeing is one of the best outdoor activities you may enjoy in summer / autumn in Lapland. The region is full of peaceful rivers and lakes, with beautiful colors and rich wildlife to observe.
During the experience, you will enjoy paddling your own canoe on one of the quiet rivers that surrounds Rovaniemi. You will make your way between islands to discover hidden beaches and other remote areas. Canoeing is a great outdoor experience that allows you to connect with the beautiful arctic nature while enjoying some gentle exercise.
This unique canoe adventure is adapted to all levels, and organized in very small groups for more comfort. It is led by a certified canoeing guide who will provide you with paddling instructions and other safety aspects. They will always be there to assist you if you need, and offer you as much of their stories and passion as they can!
After the paddling time, you will stop and eat a small snack with hot drinks.
This canoe trip is around 3 hours, if you want to experience a full-day on the river we recommend our longer adventures.
The tour is organized on mornings, afternoons or evenings. The evening tour starts at a flexible time and allows you to enjoy never-ending sunsets in summer or Northern lights in autumn (if you are brave enough to paddle on cold waters)!

A minimum of 2 paying adult participants is required for the trip to operate. We reserve the right to cancel the trip if the group is too small or because of bad weather conditions.
Participants will steer their own canoe ; one participant can be with the guide if they do not feel comfortable with paddling alone. Each canoe can accommodate 2 adults and one child. Groups are limited in order to offer an intimate experience ; for larger groups, please contact us.
If you are a solo traveler, you are very welcome to join any departing trip at the standard price.
Child prices apply only to children under 12 years old. Children must be accompanied by one adult. The child rate only apply if the conditions of two paying adult participant is met.
Please dress appropriately according to the weather, with comfortable (preferably waterproof) clothes, hats/sunglasses and sunscreen.
