Discover or rediscover one of the most prestigious castles in Europe with a fun tour that will teach you everything you need to know about the history of this unique heritage site, whether you're 7 or 97! I will tell you the story of Francis I and his crazy project to build a castle that would become the "Jewel of the French Renaissance."
Please note: this tour is interactive and you will be asked to participate by answering my questions or even trying to imagine yourself as a French courtier on the famous double spiral staircase. I will meet you in front of the castle ticket office for a 1.5-hour guided tour, which will end on the terraces of the Château de Chambord.
Tips for your visit: Dress warmly as it can be draughty, and be prepared to climb stairs as there is no elevator.

This tour involves walking and standing for 1.5 hours, as well as climbing the castle steps. I therefore recommend wearing suitable shoes. It can sometimes be cold in the castle as it is constantly open to the outside, so remember to wear warm clothes, especially in winter.
Meet in front of the ticket booth at the castle. The guide, a young woman with glasses (me), will be wearing a guide map around her neck.
