Travel Notice: Opening Hours Inner scenic spots (Tower of Buddhist Incense, Dehe Garden, Suzhou Street, Summer Palace Museum): Peak Season (April 1 – October 31): 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (last entry: 5:30 PM). Off Season (November 1 – March 31): 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (last entry: 4:30 PM). All inner scenic spots are closed on Mondays (except public holidays and special seasonal periods).
Main Park Area: Peak Season: 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM (last entry: 7:00 PM). Off Season: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (last entry: 6:00 PM).
Entrance Options: East Gate (Palace Gate): Close to Metro Line 4, the main tourist entrance with direct access to core scenic spots and the most reasonable visiting route. South Gate (New Palace Gate): Near the 17-Arch Bridge and Kunming Lake, ideal for lake view sightseeing and photography. North Gate: Convenient for taxi drop-off with fewer crowds, directly leading to the rear mountain Suzhou Street scenic area. West Gate: A quiet niche entrance suitable for casual walks with fewer visitors.
Entry Instructions: Open your booking page and scan the valid QR code directly at the gate for entry. Foreign visitors must carry their original passport for manual verification if required.
Ticket Options
Option 1: Full Combo Ticket (Tuesday – Sunday) Includes: Main park admission + all inner scenic spots (Tower of Buddhist Incense, Dehe Garden, Suzhou Street, Summer Palace Museum). Note: Inner scenic spots are closed on Mondays. Please arrive before the official last entry deadline. Late arrival will result in denied entry with no refund.
Option 2: Standard Ticket (Monday – Sunday) Includes: Only access to the main park area. Excludes: All inner scenic spots including the Tower of Buddhist Incense, Dehe Garden, Suzhou Street and Summer Palace Museum.
Age Policy Children aged 6 and under or with a height of 1.2 meters and below, and seniors aged 60 and above enjoy free admission.
