Discover Þakgil, a spectacular and still unspoiled valley in southern Iceland, on a guided hiking tour of about 7 hours in a small group.
After a welcome at the meeting point and an overview of the route, we will begin the hike through moss-covered volcanic landscapes. The trail crosses steep terrain, secluded valleys, and several vantage points of the surrounding waterfalls.
We will gradually continue upwards to reach one of the most impressive panoramas in the region: an unobstructed view of Huldujökull, a glacier hidden between the mountains. A picnic break will be organized in a natural setting, depending on the weather and the day's conditions.
The hike will then continue along a loop route, allowing you to discover different aspects of Þakgil before returning to the starting point.
The experience is limited to 4 participants in order to guarantee a friendly, attentive outing adapted to the group's pace. The picnic is included, and professional photos taken during the adventure will be sent to you after the activity.

This hike lasts approximately 7 hours and requires a good level of general fitness. The route includes climbs, descents, uneven sections, and can be slippery depending on the weather.
A picnic lunch is included. Please advise of any allergies, food intolerances, or special dietary requirements after booking.
The hike does not take you onto the glacier. The vantage point over Huldujökull depends on visibility and weather conditions.
Be sure to bring clothing suitable for the Icelandic climate, even in the summer. Closed-toe hiking shoes are obligatory.
