Start your day with pickup from your hotel in Vientiane. Begin exploring the major sights of the capital. Visit Wat Sisaket, which houses more than 8,000 Buddha statues. Next, visit Wat Ho Prakeo, the former home of the Emerald Buddha statue, and then proceed to That Luang Stupa, the most important monument in Laos.
See the Patuxay (Lao Arc de Triomphe), built to commemorate those who died in past wars; today, it stands as the city’s main landmark. After lunch, drive out of the city to visit the Lao Arts Museum. Spend a few hours exploring the museum, which showcases a variety of Lao art forms, including traditional textiles, ceramics, and contemporary artworks. At 3:00 PM, return to the city and transfer back to your hotel.
