Čiurlioni National Art Gallery, primarily devoted to the Lithuanian artist and composer Mikalojus Konstantinas Ciurlionis. Alternatively, go to the Devil’s Museum (Žmuidzinavičius Museum) to see an amusing collection of carved devils from around the world.

You will also visit the 16th-century Pažaislis Monastery to learn about its troubled history. The largest monastery complex in Lithuania, the glorious Italianate Baroque building has variously been commandeered as an Orthodox church, psychiatric hospital, archive, and art gallery. Today it is the city’s Centre of Culture, and due to its perfect acoustics hosts many concerts, especially during the annual Pažaislis Music Festival, held over 3 months in the summer.
