Discover the highlights of Central Mongolia and Gorkhi-Terelj National Park on this 3-night, 4-day guided adventure.
Day 1: Depart from Ulaanbaatar and drive to Elsen Tasarkhai, also known as the Mini Gobi. After arrival, enjoy lunch at a local camp. Then ride a camel across the sand dunes and have fun sand sledding. Continue to Karakorum, the former capital of the Mongol Empire. Enjoy dinner and spend the night in a traditional tourist ger camp in Karakorum.
Day 2: After breakfast, visit Erdene Zuu Monastery and learn about the history of Karakorum. Then travel through the beautiful Mongolian countryside to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. Visit Turtle Rock and Aryabal Meditation Monastery. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at a deluxe tourist ger camp in Terelj.
Day 3: After breakfast, meet your professional horse guide and receive safety instructions. Enjoy a full-day guided horseback riding trek of approximately 5–6 hours through Terelj’s open valleys, pine forests, rivers, and dramatic granite landscapes. Stop for a picnic lunch surrounded by nature before riding back to the camp. Enjoy dinner and spend another night in the deluxe ger camp.
Day 4: After breakfast, visit the 40-meter-high Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue Complex at Tsonjin Boldog. Explore the complex and enjoy panoramic views from the statue before returning to Ulaanbaatar. Hotel or airport drop-off is provided according to your travel schedule.
