Kathmandu: 2-Day Hidden Trek to Tangu with Mountain Views

2-day easy trek from Kathmandu to peaceful Tangu village with stunning sunrise views of Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, and Jugal Himal—perfect short Himalayan escape.
Day 1: Drive to Chhimdi & Trek to Tangu (Approx. 5–6 hrs drive, 4–5 hrs trek)

In the morning we will pick you up with your name card from your hotel and your trip begins early in the morning from Kathmandu. You will travel by local sharing bus, heading northeast toward Chhimdi. The drive takes approximately 5–6 hours and passes through beautiful landscapes, including terraced farmlands, rivers, hills, and traditional villages. This journey gives you a real glimpse of local life in Nepal.

After reaching Chhimdi, you will take a short break before starting your trek toward Tangu village. The trail gradually ascends through forests and small settlements. Along the way, you may meet local villagers, see traditional houses, and enjoy peaceful natural surroundings.

The trek is moderate and suitable for beginners with a basic level of fitness. After 4–5 hours of walking, you will arrive in Tangu, a quiet and less-visited village offering a true rural mountain experience.

In the evening, you can relax and enjoy the calm atmosphere. Overnight stay will be in a local teahouse or homestay, where you will be served simple, traditional Nepali meals.

Day 2: Sunrise View, Trek Back & Drive to Kathmandu (Approx. 4 hrs trek, 5–6 hrs drive)

You will wake up early in the morning to enjoy a breathtaking sunrise view over the Himalayas. As the first light touches the peaks, you can see a wide panorama including Langtang mountain range, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal and Other surrounding snow-capped peaks

This peaceful moment is one of the main highlights of the trek.

After enjoying the sunrise and taking time to explore the area, you will return to your teahouse for breakfast. Then, you will begin your descent back to Chhimdi, which takes around 3–4 hours.

Upon arrival in Chhimdi, you will board a local sharing bus for the return journey to Kathmandu. The drive takes approximately 5–6 hours. Your trip ends upon arrival in Kathmandu.
