A challenging and scenic trek through remote Langtang, combining the wild Tilman Pass crossing with a non-technical climb of Yala Peak for stunning Himalayan views.
The Yala Peak with Tilman Pass Trek is an adventurous journey through the remote and rugged landscapes of Nepal’s Langtang region. This trek offers a rare combination of wilderness, high-altitude challenge, and cultural richness. Starting near the sacred lakes of Panch Pokhari, the route crosses the dramatic and seldom-traveled Tilman Pass (5,320m)—a high glacial crossing named after the famed explorer H.W. Tilman.
After the thrilling pass, the trail descends into the scenic Langtang Valley, leading to Yala Peak (5,500m), a non-technical trekking peak ideal for climbers seeking their first Himalayan summit. Along the way, trekkers experience alpine lakes, glaciers, Tibetan-influenced villages, and panoramic views of Langtang Lirung, Shishapangma, and more. This trek is perfect for fit, experienced trekkers looking for a truly remote and rewarding Himalayan adventure.
