Begin your journey with a convenient pickup from outside the Port of Tauranga and head to Hell's Gate Geothermal Park. Upon arrival, embark on a self-guided interactive geothermal walk, following a map provided to you. See the largest hot waterfall in the Southern Hemisphere and learn about the Māori legends and historical uses of this geothermal area.
After the walk, indulge in the famous mud bath, where the therapeutic mud is known for its ability to soften skin and detoxify the body. Following the mud bath, rinse off and unwind in the sulphur spa pools. These naturally heated waters help relieve muscle tension and improve circulation, making it a rejuvenating experience.
After your relaxing spa experience, enjoy an optional snack (at your own cost) at the Hell's Gate Café. They offer a variety of snacks, sandwiches and light meals, perfect for recharging before heading back to port.

When you exit the port gates, turn right and walk approximately 20 metres.
Look for our RED flag and advertising boards on the grass. This is a busy area on cruise ship days, so please wait there and a member of our team will meet you.
If you have any difficulty finding us, return to the Information Centre just inside the port gates. Our team at the RED "City & Scenic Sightseeing" desk will be happy to assist.
