Experience an exciting two-day adventure in the spectacular Ausangate, where you will explore impressive Andean lakes and the iconic 7 Colors Mountain.
Day 1: Cusco - Checacupe - Ausangate Lookout - Pucacocha - Anata
The adventure begins with pick-up from your hotel in the Historic Center between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m. We head to the picturesque village of Checacupe, where we will enjoy breakfast and explore the ancient bridges along the way. Then, we continue to Quesiuno, at 4,326 m.a.s.l., where we begin the trek to Hampatuyoc, the viewpoint of Ausangate and Pucacocha. Here, we will enjoy a delicious lunch.
After a brief rest, we continue to Anata camp, located at 4,885 meters above sea level. During the hike, we will marvel at the impressive Andean geography and, with a little luck, we will be able to observe the local fauna. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a relaxing tea time and spend the night at the camp.
Day 2: Vinicunca Pass - Colored Mountain - Cusco
We wake up early to enjoy a delicious breakfast before heading into the impressive reddish mountains. We ascend to the Vinicunca Pass, at 5,020 m.a.s.l., where we will be rewarded with spectacular views of the famous Montaña de Colores (Colored Mountain). After exploring this fascinating area, we begin our descent down the other side of the mountain, admiring the glacial peaks along the way.
Upon arrival at the base, our transportation will be waiting to take us to a place for lunch. After a delicious meal, we will return to Cusco, ending this unforgettable adventure.
