Experience the adventure of a lifetime on the Classic Inca Trail, a 4-day trek starting from Cusco City. Begin your journey with a scenic drive to the trailhead at Km. 82, passing through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Over the next four days, hike through diverse landscapes, from lush cloud forests to high mountain passes, and explore ancient Inca ruins along the way.
On Day 1, enjoy a relatively easy hike to the first campsite at Wayllabamba, with stunning views of the Urubamba River and the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo. Day 2 is the most challenging, as you ascend to the highest point of the trail, Dead Woman Pass, at 4,200 meters. The reward is spectacular views of the Andes and a sense of accomplishment.
Day 3 takes you through more Inca sites, including Runkuracay and Sayacmarca, as you descend towards the final campsite at Winay Wayna. On the final day, wake up early to reach Inti Punku (Sun Gate) for a breathtaking sunrise over Machu Picchu. Enjoy a guided tour of the Inca citadel, followed by free time to explore on your own. The adventure concludes with a bus ride to Aguas Calientes and a train journey back to Cusco.
