Enjoy a hike through the Andes Mountains on a 4 day excursion to Machu Picchu on the Lares Trail enjoying beautiful landscapes and colorful lagoons, learn about the Andean culture.
Day 1: CUSCO - VALLE SAGRADO - HUARAN - CANCHA CANCHA.
We will pick you up at your hotel at 5:00 am and then we will take our bus for 2 hours to the small village of Huaran, where the hike will begin. Once we arrive in Huaran (2900m) you will enjoy your first breakfast prepared by AliPerútreks' chef. Then the trail ascends gently following the Cancha Cancha River passing through beautiful landscapes towards the community of Cancha Cancha (3450m). We will have lunch at the intermediate point. After lunch you will have time to explore the village and visit some local houses. Then it will be another two hours of gradual ascent until we reach our campsite (3780m).
Día 2: CANCHA CHANCHA-PASSO PACHACUTEC-QUISHUARANI.
Comenzaremos el día desayunando, luego iniciaremos una caminata de 3 horas cuesta arriba hasta el punto más alto, el Paso Pachacutec (4600m), disfrutando de hermosos paisajes y caminando rodeados de muchas llamas y alpacas. Luego, es un descenso de 2 horas desde la cima de la montaña hasta el valle donde disfrutará de un almuerzo de pachamanca y presenciará cómo se prepara la pachamanca. Después del almuerzo, continuaremos descendiendo dos horas más cuesta abajo hasta nuestro campamento Quishuarani donde la gente todavía practica las tradiciones incas y al llegar al campamento podrá visitar a las familias locales y aprender más sobre sus costumbres y tradiciones.
Day 3: QUISHUARANI-LARES-OLLANTAYTAMBO-MACHUPICCHU(village).
We prepare for the last hike. We climb to the second pass Willcaccasa, then walk downhill for 1 hour, passing many magnificent lakes. This takes us to the village of Cuncani. Then we continue downhill for 3 hours to the Lares Valley and its hot springs, once we enjoy the medicinal thermal baths we get ready for lunch. then we board our private bus, for a 3 hour trip to Ollantaytambo. We will have dinner at a restaurant in Ollantaytambo. After dinner, we will take the train to Aguas Calientes, to spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
DAY 4:MACHUPICCHU-RETURN TO CUSCO:
Today we will visit Machu Picchu and we recommend you to wake up early AND have breakfast to board the first bus up to the Inca site of Machu Picchu, your guide will take you to take your postcard photo of Machu Picchu, then you will start the guided tour of the main sectors of the citadel, for a time of 2 hours. Once the visit is over, you will have time to walk on your own. Finally, you will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and prepare for your train back to Ollantaytambo, then our driver will transfer you from Ollantaytambo to your hotel in Cusco.

Passport information is required at time of booking.
It is recommended to bring hiking boots (light and comfortable), 2 liter water tank and hiking pants.

You need to bring a 24 liter backpack as you will be carrying it with you.
