In fact, during Inca times, this fertile and extensive valley, which is located between the mountain ranges of the Andes, was a highly appreciated place for its magnificent geographical, climatic and agricultural qualities. It was also the resting place and residence of the Inca nobility. It also served as the site of cultivation of the best agricultural products that delighted the most demanding palates of the court and the Inca people.
Currently, the Sacred Valley of the Incas is one of the most appreciated and visited sites after the Mountain of Colors, in the region of Cusco. It is also a point of passage and rest for thousands of travelers heading to the Inca city of Machu Picchu.
