Embark on a full-day adventure to Laguna Humantay from Cusco. Admire the beautiful mountains of Apu Salkantay and Humantay, and hike to the stunning Humantay Lake.
Begin your day with a hotel pickup in Cusco. After a 2-hour drive, arrive in Mollepata, where you can stop for breakfast (not included) and pick up water and snacks for the hike. After breakfast, travel 1 more hour to Soraypampa.
Once you reach this high mountain plateau, admire the beautiful mountains Apu Salkantay (6,230 meters above sea level) and Humantay (5,250 meters above sea level). The trek itself reaches an altitude of 4,200 meters.
After a short time preparing your backpack, begin the 2-hour hike to Humantay Lake. The trail to Humantay Lake is steep, however, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the hike.
Enjoy the views of Humantay Lake and a short optional climb above the lake to the right or to the left, where you can enjoy a panoramic view. Then, descend to Soraypampa for another hour.
Take your private transportation back to Mollepata, where you will have lunch (not included). Once you finish your buffet lunch, return to Cusco and be dropped off at your hotel.
