The largest building in the site, this structure is decorated with some of the most impressive surviving decorated frieze showcasing the city’s unique architectonic style as well as impressive, colorful and intricate murals depicting important moments in the city’s history.

Next, head to the Cenote Hubikú, near the colonial city of Valladolid, in the town of Temozón. In addition to having everything a tourist needs, the cenote provides a cultural and natural bonus that will make you feel at total peace. This semi-open cenote has an opening in the ceiling of the cave through which natural light enters to illuminate the interior, while long tree roots cascade into its waters.

Daylight filters in from above, producing small rays of sun on the waterfalls, vines and vegetation found around the Cenote, some hanging like curtains and others adorning the place. After your swim, enjoy a regional-style lunch before returning to your hotel in Cancun.
