Next, we'll set course for Amantani, an approximately 2.5-hour voyage that will bring us to the island by midday, where warm Amantani families eagerly await your arrival.
Embark on a brief uphill walk (30 minutes) to reach the local houses on Amantani, where a delectable lunch featuring Andean specialties, lovingly prepared by the islanders, awaits. Take your time to rest and settle into your cozy accommodations. In the afternoon, we'll ascend to the island's summit, where you'll marvel at the ancient ceremonial Inca temples of Pachamama and Pachatata. Witness one of the most breathtaking sunsets in the world from this panoramic vantage point. As night falls, return to the local houses for a delicious dinner before joining the islanders for an optional festive evening of traditional dancing and celebration.
Day 2: Exploring Taquile Island
After a satisfying breakfast, descend to the Port of Amantani (at 08:00) to board a boat bound for Taquile Island. Later in the afternoon (at 13:00), we'll return to the Port of Amantani and begin our journey back to Puno, arriving by 15:00.
